AppSmart's Response to Coronavirus COVID-19

By Amelia Suarez / Mar 13, 2020

As the coronavirus COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the globe, our thoughts are with those that have been affected. In challenging times, we know that clear communication is essential, which is why we want to detail the specific actions AppSmart is taking to help encourage the health and safety of our employees, technology advisors, provider partners, and other stakeholders.

As the world's largest B2B marketplace for selling recurring technology services, AppSmart takes its role seriously. Our top priority is to take every necessary action to help ensure a safe, effective response. To that end, we are closely monitoring statements from the World Health Organization (WHO) and local health authorities in the countries where we operate—such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States—to direct our policies and planning.

Based on this guidance, we have suspended domestic and international employee travel until further notice, and are encouraging employees to work from home. As such, we are ensuring that our cloud infrastructure remains robust and we continue to rely on our best-in-class, globally distributed workforce to maintain our operations.

Our business is built to serve channel technology advisors. We are here to support you in whatever way we can. While we may not be able to meet you in person, AppSmart is a distributed organization that is highly proficient at collaborating remotely. Our standard way of working together across our global teams will allow us to continue to deliver the highest quality service.

Most importantly, we have a robust business continuity plan which ensures that our commissions processes should remain unaffected by remote work requirements. As always, AppSmart technology advisors will continue to get paid accurately, and on time, every time. Our commissions team will still be on call to answer any of your commissions-related questions. The same goes for our AppHelp team, quote-assistance team, sales engineering team, implementation team, partner advocate team, and everyone else at AppSmart.

We have the tools to help you succeed in the digital economy. We are helping our technology advisors provide tools—such as collaboration, unified communications, and productivity suites—that their customers can use to facilitate remote work. We are introducing some innovative remote workforce enabling technology bundles next week for our partners to help support their clients in these challenging times.

We are constantly monitoring the latest information about COVID-19 and are adjusting our policies and plans accordingly. If you are a partner and have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your Partner Relationship Manager, Partner Advocate, or our support team for more information.
